“unsinkable boat” was a strip that appeared between 1999 and 2003 in the GiG (Gulf Islands Gazette), a bi-monthly paper that ran for five years out of the Gulf Islands in BC, published by Grant Shilling and Mary Alice. The GiG was great “West Coast eclectic” culture. I have archived selected strips here. The comic above was the very first one, from 1999.
